You

We are looking for a tech-savvy, experienced Aircraft Structural Engineer with aircraft skin inspection and Dent & Buckle Chart experience. You will have various and diverse responsibilities. You will be working closely with aircraft engineers from the customers’ side and also the in-house 3D aircraft modeller and system developer team.

Your responsibilities

Customer- and user-facing responsibilities:

  • Maintaining relationship with key users and customer stakeholders
  • Presenting new developments to the customer (live demos)
  • Performing live demos for new customers
  • Training users for the AerinX system
  • Supporting users and customers during pilot projects and system roll-out
  • Discussing problems, feature ideas, and solution concepts with key users of the customer

In-house product development responsibilities:

  • Up-to-date knowledge of the whole AerinX system
  • Trying out and testing new developments, and giving feedback to the developers
  • Testing and validating virtual 3D aircraft models on real aircraft in hangar-environment
  • Defining and naming easily-identifiable reference-points on the aircraft structure
  • Creating databases of different structural elements of aircraft (moving parts, sections, frames, stringers, ribs, beams)
  • Creating databases of aircraft configurations
  • Searching, extracting and organizing different information from the SRM

You should have

  • Fluent English (written and spoken) is a must
  • Experience as an aircraft structural engineer and Dent & Buckle Chart inspections (min 3, ideally 5+ years)
  • Tech-affinity, curiosity and passion for new technologies
  • Experience and knowledge in Microsoft Excel
  • A technical mindset with great attention to detail
  • High work standards and precision
  • An ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
  • Structured thinking, proactive and agile attitude, excellent problem-solving skills
  • Cooperative, team-player attitude
  • Outstanding communication and presentation abilities
  • Flexibility, willingness to travel to the US and other countries for 1-3 weeks at a time

It’d also be nice if you have

  • Excellent writing skills in English
  • Sales attitude and sales skills
  • BSc/MSc in aircraft engineering or other relevant engineering field
  • Experience and passion for VR or AR applications
