We're looking for an experienced CAD modeller to join our team. Your job will be to create and maintain highly detailed surface models of various commercial aircrafts which will serve as the base of polygonal models, overlaid on top of the aircraft itself in augmented reality. You will work on creating precise CAD models of outer surface of airplanes from different information sources: official Service and Repair Manuals provided by aircraft manufacturers, photos, videos, and also point clouds generated with cutting edge 3D scanning technologies. You will work with the most recent technologies: AR (MR) headsets from Microsoft, Magic Leap, and others. You will help us to create a database of airplanes, that is easily modified, updated. We need your help to find the best way to create highly accurate but low-poly polygonal models that contains all the necessary information for aircraft maintenance. You will not only have modelling tasks but will also be a valuable member of the research team, from concept through implementation.
